Not by itself. Request separate written confirmation that the dealer has reserved the identified VIN and on what terms.

Why does a stronger won increase my dollar cost?

If the KRW price is fixed, fewer won per dollar means more dollars are needed. Divide the won amount by the agreed KRW/USD rate.

Can the dollar price be fixed instead?

It can be agreed commercially, subject to the exporter’s offer. Confirm the expiry, exclusions and payment deadline in writing.

A Seven-Day Car Quote from Korea: What Is Actually Fixed?

Short answer: A seven-day won price hold does not necessarily fix your dollar cost or reserve the car. Your quote must state the vehicle-price validity, reservation status and currency-conversion rule separately. A changed dollar amount can come from the exchange rate even when the dealer’s won price is unchanged.

Three promises that buyers often mix up

Is the vehicle price fixed?: Exact VIN, KRW amount, expiry date and exclusions

Is the car reserved?: Written dealer confirmation and reservation conditions

Is the payment amount fixed in USD?: A fixed USD total or a defined conversion mechanism

KingStone’s website describes a seven-day price in won and conversion on payment day. Read the transaction-specific quotation: when funds are credited, when conversion occurs and whether bank charges reduce the received amount all matter.

An available car can be sold before a reservation is confirmed. A price quotation is not itself proof of a hold.

What a currency move does

₩150,000,000 ÷ 1,500 KRW/USD = $100,000.

The same ₩150,000,000 ÷ 1,450 KRW/USD = $103,448.28.

Difference: $3,448.28 before fees.

A lower KRW-per-dollar number means fewer won are purchased by one dollar. The buyer needs more dollars for the same won amount. If the quote includes other currencies, separate those exposures too.

An online reference rate is not your executable bank rate. The ECB explicitly treats its reference rates as informational rather than transaction rates.

Agree the settlement rule in writing

Ask which bank/rate source applies, whether there is a spread, and the exact event that sets the rate. “Payment day” should be clarified as sender instruction, receipt or conversion—not left to interpretation.

Also agree correspondent-bank charges, short-payment handling, overpayment reconciliation and whether an inspection delay extends price validity. A fixed-dollar quote should say how long it remains fixed and what is excluded.

Compare without guessing

Ask for the same VIN and identical cost scope. A cheaper screenshot converted at a different rate is not necessarily a cheaper offer.

Before paying, obtain a refreshed quotation and verified company-account details. If the price has changed, request the separate vehicle-price, currency and fee differences rather than one unexplained new total.
